The Coalition of 19 Northern States Students’ Progressive Forum said destroying a country does not require any weapon from any administration.
Chairman of the association, Comrade Muhammad Abbas, stated this at a public lecture and award presentation held in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital.
He said the problems the country has been facing currently is due to the Federal Government’s poor handling of the education sector.
If you want to destroy any country, you don’t need weapons, just destroy its education sector the citizens of the country will destroy everything,” he said.
Abbas explained that Nigerian students are tired of the way the Federal Government is destroying the future of the country through the education sector.
Nigerian students were at home for four months in 2018, over ten months in 2020, they also spent four weeks and presently ASUU added another eight weeks.
“We only need our schools to be open, we didn’t ask them to give us what they received when they are students,” he said.
Spokesperson of the students’ union, Comrade Muhammad Inuwa, however commended Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for his concerns about the plight of Nigerian Students and his ongoing efforts to facilitate fruitful discussion between Federal Government and ASUU.
