Obio/Akpor Council Boss reactivate local vigilant group (OSPAC).

The Obio/Akpor Local Government Chairman, Comrade Chibuike Ihunwo have reactivated the Local Vigilant Group (OSPAC).

CDA News gathered this from his verified Facebook handle were he stated in a meeting with the head of the security outfit.

Comrade Ihuonwu said In order to ensure a crime-free Obio/Akpor local government area, he has taken proactive steps to reactivate the local vigilance group, widely known as OSPAC.

To kickstart this process, I recently held a crucial meeting with the State leadership of this security outfit at the council headquarters located in Rumuodomaya.

During our meeting on Friday, Ihunwo carefully selected a three-member committee to spearhead this initiative. The committee comprises of trusted Security Adviser, Obi Iwara, Chief Obidike Nwokoho, and the esteemed leader of OSPAC in Rivers State, Comrade Emeka Onyeocha.

The primary tasks assigned to this committee is to place advertisement for recruitment into the security outfit, Detailed profiling of potential members and comprehensive training programs before the official relaunch of OSPAC in the local government area.

It is imperative to note that I strongly rebuke any notion that questions my authority to address security matters within the local government.

Moving forward, individuals interested in joining OSPAC are encouraged to submit their applications through my Security Adviser.

The recruitment process, including profiling and training sessions, is scheduled to commence next week.

Comrade Ihuonwu unequivocally clear that no external pressure or coercion will rush the restoration of OSPAC in the local government area without adhering to the necessary protocols.

It is essential for everyone to understand that I possess the constitutional mandate to both inaugurate and disband the security outfit as deemed necessary. Rest assured, every decision made in this regard will prioritize the safety and well-being of the residents in Obio/Akpor. By reviving OSPAC, we are taking a significant step towards bolstering security measures and fostering a safer environment for all residing or doing business in Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers State.
