Former Commissioner for Environment in Abia State and Secretary General of the Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Council, Hon. Barr. Stanley Ojigbo has called on eligible Abians and fans of Prof. Uche Ikonne to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and get ready to vote for Prof. Uche Ikonne in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
Hon. Barr. Ojigbo made the call while interactimg with news men in Abuja. He stressed the need for people who have been drumming support for the PDP Governorship candidate in Abia State, Prof. Uche Ikonne to get registered before the deadline given by INEC for the registration elapses. He said there is nothing any supporter of the Governor or the Abia PDP governorship candidate can do to ensure Prof. Ikonne emerges without the PVC.
The PDP chieftain used the opportunity to thank Prof. Uche lkonne for extending the olive branch to all that contested the PDP Guber primaries with him, describing the action as that of a leader that appreciates the centrality of democratic norms.
He reminded the PDP aspirants and other stakeholders of the PDP family as well as all supporters of UCHE NDI ABIA that the job to elect Prof. Ikonne as the next Abia Governor has just commenced, adding that “the gospel according to Prof E.U lkonne should be preached and advertised to the uttermost part of Abia State. Abians should seek first Prof.E.U lkonne come 2023 and good governance shall be added unto them.”
Hon. Barr. Stanley Ojigbo expressed confidence that the 2023 general elections would equally be done with decorum as witnessed in the PDP primaries in the State, describing PDP as a pace setter that is the toast of all.
