Ohuhu Council Of Traditional Rulers Draws Map To Stop Insecurity, Seek To Unravel Ofeme Fire Outbreak

Security in the Ohuhu clan, on Friday, formed the top of the agenda, during the maiden meeting of the newly elected Executive of Ohuhu clan Council of Traditional Rulers, Umuahia North L.G.A, led by the Chairman, HRH Eze (BLDR) Charles Chionye Ngwuli.

Interacting with a cross-section of journalists shortly after the meeting held in his residence in Umuegwu Obiohuru Afugiri Autonomous Community, in Umuahia North L.G.A, of Abia State, Eze Ngwuli disclosed plans to engage the services of Ohuhu hunters to further boost security in the clan.

His words, “Things are getting out of hand and the status and capacity of Ohuhu vigilante is not known. We will invite the President General of Ohuhu Welfare Union Worldwide, Elder Johnson Okechukwu Uwazie, to dialogue and have an appraisal for the security situation in the clan and fashion out the way forward, encourage the youths president of various communities in Ohuhu”.

The traditional rulers came up with the non-indigenes form to capture every non-indigene living in their localities.

On the fire outbreak which occurred recently at Ofeme, and which also destroyed two school blocks, chairs, tables, office stationeries and some other educational materials in Ofeme community primary school, Umunkpu-Ofeme, the royal father said that the traditional rulers will investigate to find out the root cause and take positive steps to stop future occurrence.
