Osun police parades security operatives arrested for Kidnapping

The Osun State Command of the Nigeria Police has arrested four operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for alleged kidnapping.

Making this known in Osogbo, the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode revealed that one Ajibola Ogunibi had allegedly connived with some DSS and NSCDC operatives to kidnap and demand ransom from a Bureau De Change operator.

Olokode also disclosed that after the ransom was paid by the BDC operator, the sum of N15,000 was given to Ogunibi.

They were arrested after reports were made to the Nigeria Police that a BDC operator had been kidnapped and taken to a hideout along Ilesa road, Osogbo where ransom was demanded from him.

Paraded alongside the DSS and NSCDC operatives were Tajudeen Olalekan and his gang of cultists who were apprehended with three pistols, live cartridges, among other dangerous weapons.

The Police boss stated that all the suspects had confessed to the crime and would be charged to court after conclusion of investigation into the matter.
