Ikpeazu Signed Anti-Open Grazing Law Since 2018

While other states were still trying to grasp the realities of the menace caused society by the archaic practice of open grazing of cattle, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State had envisioned that one of the most effective ways to tackle the menace was to sign into Law the Anti-Open Grazing Bill enacted by the equally proactive Abia State House of Assembly in 2018.

The law which is known as “The Abia State Control of Nomadic Cattle Rearing and Prohibition of Grazing Routes/Resources Law, 2018 (Law No 4 of 2018)”, was signed into Law by the Governor on the 29th of June, 2018.
