The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abia State, Professor Uche Ikonne has tasked the 17 Local Government Chairmen of the PDP, in Abia State to identify aggrieved members of the party for reconciliation, as he is prepared to make peace with the latter.
Professor Ikonne made the appeal when he met with the 17 LGA Party Chairmen at his Agburuike Nsulu County home.
According to him, the reconciliation with the aggrieved members is required to ensure the party victory come 2023
He also used the opportunity to appreciate the chairmen for their administrative ingenuity during the last party primaries that led to his emergence. Noting that,
He also challenged them on the need to mobilise support for all PDP candidates across board, with a promise that his headship, will institute a leadership that all Abians will be proud of.
Earlier in his remark, the Party Chairmen, through their leader, Chief Seth Agomuo who dubles as the PDP party chairman of Obingwa, said that they have come to congratulate Professor Ikonne on his victory at the primaries, as well as to rob minds with him on the way forward for the victory of the Party come 2023.
The DG Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organisation, Rt. Hon Chinedum Elechi, Deputy Director for Abia South, Chief Ibe Nwadioha, Dr. Ike Onyenweaku, and many others were present during the visit.
