PSG, Pochettino Reach Agreement To Part Ways

Paris Saint-Germain and its manager Mauricio Pochettino have reportedly reached an agreement to part ways this summer.

Both parties have reportedly reached an agreement to terminate the Argentine’s contract eighteen months after taking charge of the Parisians.

Pochettino will depart the Ligue 1 champions after failing to lead them to Champions League success last season.

The Athletic reports that PSG and Pochettino agreed to go seperate ways after a meeting that took place last week.

PSG won the French Ligue 1 title last season but was eliminated from the Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid in the Round of 16.

Pochettino’s contract at PSG supposed to expire in the summer of 2023.

The report added that Nice coach Christopher Galtier is the main favourite to take over from Pochettino at PSG.

Meanwhile, other reports point to AS Roma’s Jose Mourinho as a potential candidate to succeed the former Tottenham manager.
