Manchester United boss, Ralf Rangnick has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo after the Red Devils beat Brighton in the Premier League last night.
Rangnick said Ronaldo’s performance is the best he has seen of the Portuguese since he (Rangnick) arrived at Old Trafford.
The victory over Seagulls put Rangnick’s side back into fourth place in the Premier League.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus ace put United ahead in the game with a fine finish, with Bruno Fernandes scoring the other goal to make it 2-0 against Brighton who played with 10 men for the majority of the game.
Rangnick feels that Ronaldo is doing his best to get the Red Devils into the Champions League again next season.
Very important not only that he scored but it was an outstanding goal,” he told reporters after the match.
“It was important for all of us, but his overall performance was one of the best since I arrived here.
It was an amazing goal. Not only an important one but an amazing goal.
“Overall it was also a good performance by Cristiano. Energetically he was online, he was always trying to help the other team-mates.
I think in the last weeks that would be the best performance by him and it is very, very important for us,” he added.
