Manchester United interim coach, Ralf Rangnick, has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Ronaldo played for 90 minutes but failed to score as Fred settled the contest with a sublime finish in the second half.
However, Rangnick was impressed by Ronaldo’s contribution to the team, especially his work rate and pressing.
Speaking after the game, he said: “We wanted to play with two strikers, especially in the central position.
By the way, Cristiano Ronaldo’s work off the ball, chapeau.”
Rangnick however called on United players to work harder to score more goals and keep more clean sheets.
He added: “It’s always easier to build on things after you’re successful.
We must produce further clean sheets and get better at creating chances for our attack. Overall I was very pleased with the way we played today.”
