Saraki, Atiku react as Super Eagles crash Out

Bukola Saraki, former Senate President has encouraged the Super Eagles following their elimination from AFCON 2021.

Nigeria crashed out of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after a 0-1 loss to the North African side, Tunisia.

A goalkeeping error from Maduka Okoye gave the Carthage Eagles the goal a few minutes into the second half.

Saraki expressed disappointment at the result but commended the Super Eagles for giving it their all.

His tweet read, “Tonight, our Super Eagles gave their all! Even though we had so much promise and we are disappointed with the result, in football, you win some and you lose some!

I salute our players, our coaching staff, and everyone who contributed to our success so far!

Also, Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, urged the Nigeria team not to give up but have their sights on Qatar World Cup qualifying game against Ghana.

His tweet read, “ We must never give up. I appreciate our players and the entire Team Nigeria for the successes so far.

We may have lost out of the #AFCON2021 at this point, but our sights should be trailed on the Qatar World Cup qualifying game against Ghana.” [sic].
