Scores killed, many injured as youths clash with Fulanis in Jos.

Some youths in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State on Saturday clashed with Fulanis around Rukuba Road.

The clash reportedly led to the death of scores of people.

Newsmen gathered that some buses were carrying Fulani heading towards Rukuba Road while Irigwe people and other sympathisers were waiting for the corpses sympathizers people who were recently killed by suspected herdsmen in an attack for funeral before the fight broke out.

A spoken man of the Plateau State Police Command, ASP Gabriel Ogaba, said, “Yes, there was unrest at RukOgibaoad of Jos North LGA.

Security personnel have been deployed to the area and have taken charge.

At the moment the area is calm and residents are going about their lawful businesses.

Details about what happened will be communicated shortly.”

As at the time of filing this report, there of no actual casualty figure, as the dead and injured have been taken away by security operatives.
