The Senator representing Abia Central at the National Assembly, Senator Austin Akobundu has extended his warm wishes to the President of the 10th Nigerian Senate, Senate President Godswill Akpabio CON, as he marked his 61st birthday on Saturday, December 9th, 2023.

While extending his congratulatory statement, Senator Akobundu praised the Senate President on his dedication towards the nation, highlighting his achievements as a National political leader and contributions after serving as a Commissioner in three different ministries, then became the Governor of Akwa Ibom at the age of 45, serving between (2007–2015), and then became the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs between (2019–2022).

He appreciated the loyalty, dedication, and commitment the Senate President has demonstrated over time, with measurable and lasting legacies to show for his time in various offices, most significantly exemplified by the uncommon transformation of Akwa Ibom into one of the most vibrant and frontline states in the country.

Additionally, Senator Akobundu congratulated Senate President Godwill Obot Akpabio for his commitment to pro-people legislation. He commended him for his efforts in building a nation for all, recognizing his leadership and contributions to the country’s development.

As Senator Akobundu wished the Senate President continued good health, he prayed that his birthday bring him continued success and the fulfillment of all his aspirations.
