The Abia Central Senator, Senator Austin Akobundu has beaten Sacked Senator Nwokocha at the Supreme Court challenging his appeal court Victory.
Following the incident on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, where sacked Darlington Nwokocha sought a review motion against Senator Austin Akobundu’s victory and lost
Nwokocha faced another setback today at the Supreme Court in Abuja.
The Supreme Court has ordered the official withdrawal of Mr. Darlington Nwokocha’s appeal, putting an ultimate end to his l pursuits.

The Supreme Court Ordered Darlington Nwokocha to Pay Him an additional 2 million plus 5 million to Senator Akobundu.
The apex court said it had no jurisdiction to entertain the matter and therefore dismissed it.
The apex court led by Justice Kekere Ekun ordered the applicant (Darlington Nwokocha)to pay him (Senator Akobundu) the sum of N2million, even as it warned that the case should not be brought to the court or any other court again.
The Supreme Court, while reminding him and his lawyers that the Appeal Court is the final court that adjudicates on the matter, the it away matter and warned that it should not resurface again.
It will be recalled that last Friday, December 8, 2023, the Court of Appeal in Abuja, had the same case dismissed for wasting the court’s time and ordered him to pay Senator Austin Akobundu N5 million.
By that, his relief seeking the review of the Court of Appeal’s decision sacking him as Senator representing Abia Central has finally been rested as it has suffered a deadly blow at the Appeal Court on Friday and today (Tuesday) at the Supreme Court.
In all, Darlington Nwokocha has to pay Senator Akobundu a total sum of N7 million as costs from both the Appeal Court and Supreme Court.
