Soldiers beat Jos taxi driver Karafa to death, army begins probe

The Special Task Force Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) in Plateau state has constituted a panel to investigate the murder of Jo’s taxi driver Sadik Abdullahi Karafa, by its men.

Maj. Ishaku Takwa, its Media Officer, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday in Jos.

Karafa, a resident of Angwan Rimi community of Jos North Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau, was beaten to death by soldiers at Farin Gada axis.

He was alleged to have violated the curfew imposed by the state government.

Takwa said that the Commander of the Task Force, Maj.-Gen. Ibrahim Ali has visited the family of the deceased and assured that any soldier found culpable, would be made to face the full wrath of the law.
