The Chairman, South-West Governors’ forum, Rotimi Akeredolu has stated that any group that disobeys the ban, does so at their own peril base on the recent statement made by Kautal Hore of Miyetti Allah Cattle breeders Association.
Governor Akeredolu in a statement issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, disclosed that “it is instructive to strongly note and aver that any person or group that desires to flout legal policy directions of state authorities in the region does so at its own peril”.
The President of Miyetti Allah Saleh Alhassan in a press briefing in Abuja, had kicked against the ban, stating that enforcing a ban on grazing without alternatives was tantamount to destroying the livelihoods of herders in the South-West region and thus should not be obeyed.
