As chairman and members of the Abia State House of Assembly Service Commission have been screened and are set for inauguration, it is very important to give credit and deserved accolades to whom it is due.

It is pertinent to inform Abians that the bill that established the Abia State House of Assembly Commission was enacted and passed into Law during the tenure of the immediate past Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, and the Honorable Members of the 7th Abia Assembly.

The 7th Assembly under the leadership of the former Speaker were able to achieve this giant stride because of the leadership and foresighted prowess of the then Speaker who understood that the Legislature as an independent arm of government should have a stake in the running of the government adequately so that quality democratic dividends will be distributed to the people

Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji as the Speaker, and as proven by facts was diligent, dedicated and diplomatic throughout his tenure as the Speaker of the 7th Abia Assembly which made them to stand out as one of the best in the country.

He was well respected and his indelible footprints and democratic exploits echoes on the lips of Abians both home and abroad.

Congratulations to Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji (Ikukuoma) and the Members of the 7th Abia Assembly for a job well done.
