There is sporadic shooting in Taraba State as citizens await results from Saturday’s gubernatorial and House of Assembly results.

Report has it that the shooting is happening around the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Police Headquarters in Jalingo, the state capital.

The reason for the gunshot is unclear but not unconnected to a misunderstanding between the police and soldiers guarding the INEC office.

As it stands, shops have been closed and markets and streets deserted.

Parents have also rushed to schools to take their children back home.
