The police in Kano have confirmed that a teenager, simply identified as Iro Kwarangwal of Karshen Kwalta, Rimin Kebe, killed his mother with a sharp knife.
Report has it that the teenager, on Wednesday evening, was said to have stabbed his biological mother, Jummai, to death over a simple disagreement over his naughty character.
An eyewitness, Muhammad Abdu, neighbour to the deceased, disclosed that the ugly incident occurred at about 5:30 pm.
Malam Abdu said, “I was standing outside my house when i suddenly heard screaming from the deceased resident”.
He revealed that upon rushing in to help, “we found the deceased who was stabbed severally with a knife screaming for help”.
He added that the suspect fled the scene shortly while the deceased was later carried to the hospital in a tricycle, with blood all over her body. He said she was pronounced dead on reaching the hospital.

When contacted, the Police Spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the incident and promised to furnish our reporter with full details of what happened and the efforts to arrest the culprit.
