It is always the dream of every community to have an illustrious son/daughter whose hand is lifted in the days of great needs. A son who is a philanthropist at home first because they say “…Charity begins at home…” Ariam Usaka has been blessed with such a son in the person of Chief John Ekeleme.

Chief Ekeleme, a house hold name in Ariam Usaka, Ikwuano as well as Abia is at it again. He has donated and installed a Solar Electricity generating set to St. Michael’s Catholic Hospital Ariam Elu-elu. Irrespective of the fact that he is not s catholic. His motivation is driven by the needs of his people in the healthcare sector.

It will be recalled that the first privately donated public pipe borne water in Ariam was done and reticulated by Chief John Ekeleme, the First ever and only industrial layout in Ariam Usaka was established by him, he single handedly connected Ariam to national power grid all the way to Akwaibom which today has helped Ariam Usaka in totality to be electrified. Just to mention but s few. His scholarship program which has never made noise about has been on going for years and he has been a bed rock of mainstream politics for Ariam Usaka cum Ikwuano hence the people unanimously crowned him Ariam Usaka political leader.

While I can’t exults his profile here, I want the people of Ariam Usaka and Ikwuano to join there voice to thank This our great son for stepping in once again to illuminate the only viable hospital in Ariam Usaka with modern technology, solar energy.
