The Abia State council of Village Heads Ikwuano LGA held their meeting at the resident of Hon. Chief Emeka Nwogu of Eziukwu Village Umudike Autonomous Community.
The organization represents all village heads in Ikwuano.
The Chairman of Ikwuano LGA Chief Stephen Mpamugo who was represented by his Secretary to the Local Government Barrister Sunday Ikpeka says the local Government Authorities recognizes the efforts of community leaders in the protection of lives and property’s its citizenry.
Barrister Ikpeka stated this at Umudike country home of the village head Eziukwu Umudike Hon. Chief Emeka Nwogu is also the chairman of the Ohaneze Ndigbo Ikwuano Chapter.
While playing host Abia State council of village heads described the body as an engineering room for community development and enjoined them to sustain their support to the present administration in the state.
The Chairman of the Association and also the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Traditional Matters Chief Kingsley Egwuatu. He assures the government that the organization will continue to support all good policies and ensure compliance In all the villages.
The second deputy chairman of the association Chief Stanley Akparandu and her Secretary Chief Cashmile Nwogu assured that the association will continue to work in synergy with traditional rulers among other relevant agencies to enhance community development and commended Governor Dr.Okezie Ikpezu, his Chief of Staff Associate Professor ACB Agbazuere for organizing a successful Abia community security sensitization submit.
Contributing Prince Smart Ukaegbu, Chief Jonah Lucky, and Chief Uchenna Ngwogwogu urged the association to be united and speak with one voice as well as called on government at all levels to prioritize the welfare of community leaders.
