The burial of Late Ojukwu Ukatu, the brother of Hon. Williams Ukatu (AGAINST) was not all crying and wailing; the political class commiserated with the bereaved.
The occasion brought the Founder of Chukwuemeka Onyenucheya Foundation and Onyenucheya Grassroot Movement, Rtn. Dr. Chukwuemeka Onyenucheya and a galaxy of others there.
The colour of the occasion actually turned to a session of friendly feeling, because the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Orji, the immediate past National Organizing Secretary of PDP Col. Austin Akobundu, Member Representing Ikwuano LGA in the Abia State House of Assembly Hon. Stanley Nwabuisi, the Ikwuano Local Government Chairman Chief Steve Mpamugo and a host of others.
The Onyenucheya Grassroot Movement showed class with their Leader and Founder, Rtn. Dr. Onyenucheya and her mamooth followers at the funeral.
The love the people of Ikwuano have for Hon. Williams Ukatu is all-round and wholistic, it is evident in the dignitaries and good people of Ikwuano who tropped out in their enormous number to ease the stress of the people’s democratic party chieftain. It equally presented the people of Ikwuano another opportunity to express their solidarity to Rt. Hon. Engr. Chinedum Orji (Ikuku Oma Abia) who took out time out of his busy schedule to console their leader at this time of his bereavement.
May God grant our beloved brother and leader Hon. Williams Ukatu the fortitude to bear the loss and continue to bless our superb speaker for his enormous love for Ndi Ikwuano.
