The State Chairman National Youth council of Nigeria Engr Smith O. Sylvanus today featured at the Television Broadcasting Authority – BCA in Umuahia, Abia State on the title:
“The roles of youth leaders in addressing the insecurities in the state and nation at large”
This program prepared the relative importance of the youth to Nation building and obsolete in negligence the impact/roles of our youths. It’s imperative to note that every youth leader is a key to addressing insecurities and should be part of security councils meeting at all levels of administration.
There is a need for the Government to partner with youth leaders towards addressing insecurities, neglecting the youths shows government insensitivity to issues of insecurity.
So, for the fact that Abia youths are very smart, hardworking, intelligent, industrious, creative, very humble, patient, and have all it takes to ensure Abia’s robust economy, there is a need to fund seriously youths engagement programs in the state.
As part of my/our responsibilities to enthuse, emancipate, and represented the entire youth of Abia, it’s pathetic to see the ugly occurrences against the youth infusing questions such as follows;
Why has the Governor’s approved project for the youths been neglected?
1. The Approved “Abia Youths security submit” by Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu
2. The Approved Subvention for Abia youth Organizations
3. The Approved and inaugurated by the Governor, National youth Engagement steering committee still on hold till now
4. The Approved Abia Youths back to farm projects, establishments of Youths Farms across the 17 LGA.
5. The Approved Empowerment and loans for Abia youths that were trained in Nasarawa state on Agriculture and Agro economic development.
Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu on his approvals is a commitment to ensuring he gives Abians a better Service but those around the Governor are involved in making him achieve his Noble and good dreams for Abians and in particular the youths?
Engr Smith frowned at the ugly treatment to the youths as he lamented…
