The State Chairman National Youth Council of Nigeria Engr Smith O. Sylvanus visited the Ukwa East Council Headquarters today on a one working visit and the official commissioning of her newly renovated NYCN Youth house.

Receiving the state Chairman and his entourage, The Executive Chairman of Ukwa East Sir Chuks Wabara ably represented by the deputy Chairman Chief Eric Ugbor alongside Supervisor for youths and Sports Comrd Chima Jacob and other Councilors expressed gratitude on the progression of their visit describing it as a means for onward development, peaceful co-existance among the Youth, Elders of the local Government and state at large.

Engr Smith commended the cordial partnership of the council with NYCN noting that it’s importance to Nation building, Youth Development, Youths inclusiveness in governance, and further explained his official visit as to inspect the Ukwa East youth house and to equally commission it.

On commissioning the youth house, Engr Smith had an interactive session with Selected community youth leaders advising them on the need to encourage total participation among the youths in a more productive and skills acquitted engagements. He advised them to ensure adequate security within their communities and to be vigilante to watch over both government and individual owned properties as it’s everyone’s business especially this period of security challenge threatening the peace of our environs.

We can as well support the security agencies through reporting any suspicious movement or activities from any where while he also informed the Council Chairman of the preparation to lunch the local government community Youth Security summit soon and more to help harness the system.

The Ukwa East NYCN Coordinator Comrd Emmanuel Akparanta thanked the State Chairman and all in company for his astute resilience in putting the council’s mandate at the front line of events where it’s only centered on youths development and empowerment promising to always trade on those limelight.

The zonal Chairman Abia South, Comrd Arthur Ugboaja, State NYCN treasurer Comrd Levi Bobby, Obingwa NYCN Coordinator Comrd Chika Nwaokonko and a former NYCN LGA Coordinator Comrd JIJI joined the Chairman to the Visit.
