TIMAAS LAUNCHES OPERATION REKINDLE DISCIPLINE II (Video)

SET TO CONVERT SOME ROADS TO A ONE-WAY DRIVEWAY

The Traffic And Indiscipline Management Agency Of Abia State (TIMAAS) has launched Operation Rekindled Discipline II, which is aimed at decongesting and eliminating all forms of illegal parking and encroachment on road in Abia.

Speaking during the launch on Wednesday, the General Manager, Mr. Bright Ikeokwu, decried the level of indiscipline by some motorists, especially drivers of Luxurious Bus and Truck along Milverton/ Ojike lane.

TIMAAS boss encouraged residents and road users to abide by all traffic rules, adding that the rules were set for their safety. He assured that the Agency is committed to rekindling discipline and ensuring safety of road users.

On his part, the Chairman of Association of Luxury Bus Owners of Nigeria (ALBON) and his Executive members who were present at the event, promised to make necessary adjustments pending when they move to their permanent site.

The event was held at different locations including Milverton, Aba main park, Ojike lane, Park Road and Mosque road all in Aba.

Meanwhile, in another development, residents and some road users expressed satisfaction with the level of enforcement by TIMAAS officers along Park road Aba, where traders illegally occupied for several months.

Speaking to newsmen, a road user who spoke anonymously, commended TIMAAS for a job well done.

” This place looks better now. Before it was difficult to access but now, cars can drive smoothly without struggles”, he said

TIMAAS boss further pledged to work with ministries and other relevant authorities to ensure full implementation of the ONE-WAY DRIVEWAY initiative.
