Two teams qualify for quarter-final

At least, two countries have qualified for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, quarter-final stage.

They are Burkina Faso and Tunisia.

Burkina Faso was the first country to qualify for the AFCON last-8 after beating Gabon on Sunday evening.

Burkina Faso won Gabon 7-6 on penalties after the game ended in a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.

Tunisia, on the other hand, defeated the Super Eagles of Nigeria 1-0 in normal time.

Youssef Msakni scored the only goal of the match as Alex Iwobi was shown a red card during the encounter after receiving two yellow cards.

The AFCON round of 16 will continue on Monday.
