Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has called on Chelsea fans not to boo him as he is set to return to Stamford Bridge.
Courtois, a former Chelsea player, said he is happy to return to the West London club.
Real Madrid will face Chelsea in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg tie at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
And Courtois hopes the Chelsea fans will not give him a poor reception.
I hope that they don’t boo me, but you never know,” Courtois told Real Madrid’s website.
I am prepared for whatever comes and we will have to see how it goes.
I hope it is a happy return to Stamford Bridge. We are now rivals. They will want to win and the same goes for me too and so I am not expecting any applause from the fans.”
