The APC Chieftain and fearless leader, Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu, has officially postponed the commissioning of the 10KVA Solar Electricity Project installed at the Olori General Hospital, Ikwuano LGA, Abia State. The event, initially scheduled for an earlier date, will now take place on Thursday, 14th November 2024.

CDA News recalls that the 10KVA Solar Electricity Project was installed by Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu and the For Us By Us Movement following a visit to the hospital. During this visit, it was discovered that the facility lacked a reliable power supply, hindering its operations. Ugwumba, known for his commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of Ikwuano people, swiftly initiated this project to ensure uninterrupted electricity for the hospital.

In a statement released by Ugwumba Ishionwu, he said, “We wish to notify the general public that the commissioning of the 10KVA Solar Electricity Project at Olori Hospital, Ikwuano, has been rescheduled to Thursday, 14th November 2024. We hope your schedule will accommodate this change, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. We would be most delighted to see you at the event.”

Despite the postponement, it is important to note that the project was completed over a month ago and has been in active use, enabling the hospital to carry out its duties efficiently and effectively.

Ugwumba Chika Ishionwu, ever bold in his leadership, also used this opportunity to remind Honorable Obi Aguocha, the member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North, Umuahia South Federal Constituency, of his campaign promise to restore electricity to the Ariam Usaka community. He emphasized that the promise is long overdue, urging Hon. Aguocha to fulfill his commitment to the good people of Ikwuano.

Ugwumba Ishionwu continues to exemplify fearless leadership, relentlessly advocating for progress and development in Ikwuano, embodying the true spirit of the For Us, By Us movement.
