Umuariaga Community Endorses PDP National Assembly Candidates for the Forthcoming General Election – VP Alozie Ogbulubi

As the 2023 general elections approach its climax, the PDP candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency and Speaker Abia House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Engr Chinedum Orji, Ikukuoma Abia, stormed Umuariaga Community in Oboro Ikwuano amid wild jubilation from the people.

The Abia Speaker Rt. Chinedum Orji and His entourage were revived at the palace of His Royal Majesty Eze C U Ejirika ( Ugwu OHa 1 of Awkm Na Ebo Autonomous Community and was given a royal blessing.

In a wide range of celebrations with the youth of Umuariaga Rt.Hon. Chinese Orji took a jubilation walk to the community hall and was received by elders, youths and women, and students from all works of life who lives in Umuariaga.

Amb.Chinweuba Anyaragbu, A PDP Chieftain in Oboro Ward (1) offered an opening prayer and prayed to God to grant the speaker victory at the forthcoming general elections.

The Vice President General of Umuariaga Community Development Union, UCDU, Mr. Alozie Ogbulubi, who took the center stage used the occasion to thank the Speaker for his contribution towards the development of the society through his numerous people-oriented projects and empowerment schemes which cut across the 3 local governments that make up the federal constituency and the adoption and endorsement of the PDP National Assembly candidates by people and all agreed in a voice vote.

The Woman leader of the community Mrs. Rebecca Anuchuka, praised the speaker for his tenacity, doggedness, benevolence, and charisma needed to represent the people at the National Assembly and made a passionate appeal to the speaker for the provision of beds in the health center located in the community and for building a market to help more especially the women, who are petty traders for them to be able to sell their goods and make a living.

She also made a passionate appeal to the speaker to help the community to improve on our electricity, which is paramount to the development of the community.

While responding, the Speaker, Rt. Hon Engr Chinedum Orji appreciated the community for their kind gesture of honoring him and praised their effort in the human capacity building despite the economic challenges faced in the country.

Rt.Hon.Chinedum Orji,(Ikukuoma Abia) as he was fondly called by his numerous supporters called for unity and progress of the federal constituency and vowed to deliver good governance to the people if elected to the National Assembly.

He promised that before the expiration of his tenure as speaker, he will install and energize an electricity transformer in the community which will boast the electricity supply to the community and help to improve the standard of living.

He promised to make sure that Umuariaga community road will be given due attention.

He highlighted some of his achievements in Ikwuano which include the distribution of electricity transformers to various communities, road rehabilitation, and maintenance, gully erosion control, etc.

Ikukuoma promised to ensure that all projects that the former governor and Senator representing Abia Central Chief Theodore Ahamefula Orji did not complete in his time, he will ensure that all are accomplished in his time.

He called for unity, progress, equity, and fairness within the federal constituency and maintenance of tenure in elective positions.

He cautioned the people to judge the political class equitably while urging
the people to vote massively for him and our brother Col.Austin Akobundu for senate because they are the best candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

He called on the people to vote for him and then hold him responsible for all his promises.

He also promised that before the elections, he will give out three 3 motorcycles for the vigilante for security in the community.

He further promised to empower the youths as they are of special interest to the constituency.

Among those who were on the speaker’s entourage include, Alhaji Suleiman Ukandu, former Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development in Abia State, Transition Committee Chairman, Ikwuano LGA, Hon Williams Ukatu, Hon. Obinna Okey, Hon Commissioner for Intergovernmental Affairs in the state, Retired Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Osondu, Chairman PDP Ikwuano Stakeholders Forum, Chief Daniel Ojinta, Chief Vincent Nwankwo, Oboro Ward 1 PDP Chairman, and many others too numerous to mention.
