As the 2023 general elections draw closer, the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, COSEYL, has called on Nigerians promoting the candidacy of the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Asiwaju Tinubu to retrace their steps in the interest of Nigeria.
In a statement issued by its President-General, Goodluck Ibem ,COSEYL,accused the former Lagos State governor of playing a greater role in establishing the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, which according to them has ruined the entire nation.
Witt reference to the current state of the nation, the coalition accused Tinubu of bringing President Buhari into power for his (Tinubu) selfish reasons.
COSEYL insisted that the APC national leader “owes Nigerians a sincere apology for bringing such plague upon the nation”, stressing that “his presidential ambition is an insult to the entire Nigerians especially the youths”.
We the youths of Igbo nation will not allow affliction the second time upon us. Never. We must have made our mistakes in 2015, but we are wiser now. Youths cannot be deceived again with the usual monetary inducement; it is the time of the youth to take back our nation.
We therefore call on any organization, groups or persons promoting the presidential ambition of Senator Tinubu to come back to their senses and engage in meaningful endeavours instead of marketing a very bad product, the statement added.
