World Cup 2022 highest goal scorers so far [Top 13]

Following Saturday’s 2022 FIFA World Cup round of 16 matches, below are currently the leading top scorers in the tournament in Qatar.

Recall that the Netherlands defeated the USA 3-1, while Argentina won 2-1 against Australia.

Argentina’s captain, Lionel Messi, is currently the joint-top scorer in the ongoing World Cup with three goals.

Messi scored a goal in Argentina’s World Cup last-16 victory over Australia.

Apart from the Paris Saint-Germain star, Netherlands winger Cody Gakpo, Spain’s Alvaro Morata, and England’s Marcus Rashford, among others, also have three goals.

Here are the 2022 World Cup top scorers so far:

Three goals – Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Enner Valencia, Cody Gakpo, Alvaro Morata and Marcus Rashford,

Two goals – Kai Havertz, Niclas Fullkrug, Ritsu Doan, Vincent Aboubakar, Bukayo Saka, Ferran Torres and Olivier Giroud.
