YPP releases timetable ahead of Ekiti, Osun guber Elections

he National Executive Council (NEC) of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), has ratified the timetable and schedule of activities ahead of the governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states respectively.

This was disclosed in a communique signed by the National Publicity Secretary of YPP, Comrade Egbeola Wale Martins, forwarded to DAILY POST on Monday, which formed part of the resolutions in the recent National Executive Council meeting of the party.

The party disclosed that it shall commence sale of nomination and expression of interest forms from December 20, 2021 and end on January 16, 2022.

It also approved the election primaries to be held simultaneously in both states on 19th of January 2022, urging interested aspirants with the intention of running as candidates on the platform of YPP to obtain their forms from the national Secretariat.

On its verbal report in recently concluded review at the conducted November 6 governorship election in Anambra State, the YPP NEC, unanimously agreed that a more comprehensive written report on the election be prepared and submitted to the national Secretariat on it before the end of the first week of February, 2022, so as to enable a more informed decision on the events that led to the undesirable outcome of the election.

The NEC also endorsed a nationwide restructuring of state chapters starting from 2022 in order to reposition the party to remain relevant and potent enough to be considered as the only credible alternative in 2023.
