Miss Universe 2024, the 73rd edition of Miss Universe pageant held at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico, on 16 November 2024.

While Denmark’s Victoria Kjær Theilvig emerged as the Miss Universe 2024 , the 1st Runner-Up was Nigeria’s Chidimma Adetshina.

Then the 2nd Runner-Up was Mexico’s María Fernanda Beltrán, 3rd Runner-Up, Thailand’s Suchata Chuangsri while the 4th Runner-Up was Venezuela – Ileana Márquez.

Here is a hearty congratulatory message to you all from the former female presidential candidate of Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA) in Nigeria, Amb. Prof Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies.

My heartfelt congratulations again goes especially to the newly crowned Miss Universe as well as our own Nigerian first runner-up, Chidimma Adetshina! I am beyond thrilled to see women shining bright on the global stage from Denmark and Nigeria.

As a former presidential candidate, I understand the stride and importance of women struggling for opportunities to excel at top level strata. I can attest to the fact that your achievements are a testament to the desire, commitment, vision, power, hard work, dedication and passion.

Again, to our Nigerian first runner-up, I say thank you for making our nation proud! Your accomplishment is a reflection of the talent, resilience, and beauty that Nigerian women embody.

Once again, congratulations to both of you, Miss Universe and her Nigerian first runner-up, Miss Nigeria! May your achievements continue to inspire women and girls in your countries, continents and all around the world to reach for their goals, dreams, visions and missions.
