NDORO MARKET UPDATE PRESS STATEMENT BY EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN IKWUANO LGA CHIEF STEPHEN MPAMUGO
The above-attached picture is the ongoing re-construction at Ndoro Market been spearheaded by the ever-focused Executive Chairman of Ikwuano Local Government, Chief Stephen Mpamugo.
The reconstruction which was part of the core mandates of the Chief Stephen Mpamugo-led administration began in earnest with the harmonization of all parties through discussion and consultations. Reconstructions followed immediately early this year, but progress was delayed by some indigenes of Ndoro who wanted to know what was going on, which the Executive Chairman explained.
However, the day before yesterday 21st July 2022, our attention was drawn to a vexatious event, which involved some low-life fellows who went to stop the ongoing construction at the market, with no reason whatsoever apart from primitive delusions to the extent of attacking workers and wounding some.
This is the third time these outlaws have made attempts to stop the ongoing construction and this embarrassing event should be repugnant to them as it is to me.
The people of Ikwuano are utterly disgusted at the disdain and contempt with which they carry out their shameful, nefarious, and disreputable acts and their utter insensitivity to the plights and the concerns of our people.
Should we fold our arms and suffer this indignity and pain in silence? Are these incessant attacks not a disgrace to our Local Government?
Let it be known that the Local Government will not fold its arms and sweep this under the carpet.
Those who know this set of hooligans, rogues, and rascals from Ndoro who call themselves youths should inform them.
Every offender, wrongdoer, or lawbreaker caught will be dealt with decisively within the confines of the law.
