Najaatu Muhammadu has described President Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew, Tunde Sabiu as the de facto President.

The former All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain disclosed that Buhari is not fully in charge of Nigeria.

Najaatu recalled her meetings with the President and complaints about “atrocities” going on “in terms of corruption, theft of billions of naira”.

All he does is frown and that’s the end of it. He doesn’t care. Sometimes, he tells you, ‘I don’t know’. But how do you know?” she disclosed.

The activist accused the leader of showing little concern about happenings and throwing the country “to the dogs”.

According to her: “He has a prime minister in the name of his nephew – grandnephew Tunde. Whether we want to believe it or not, Tunde is the de facto president”.

I know that even the service chiefs report to him, Tunde is Sabiu. He’s called Tunde because he was named after Tunde Idiagbon.

Recalling Buhari’s comment in 2015 that he relies on newspapers, Najaatu said a lot of them have been consistent in speaking out.

Asked if she fears for her security over explosive comments in recent times, Naajatu confirmed she’s under threat.

I have been threatened several times. From the time I left APC, I have received a lot of threats. I want you to know that I was not just tried by Buhari.

In 2013, I was poisoned in the office of the DSS. I have had seven surgeries, a reconstruction of my colon. I spent seven months in Germany due to the poisoning, but by God’s grace, I am still alive, she stated.

Last week, the Police Service Commissioner resigned as Director of Civil Society Organisations Director in the APC PCC.
