Home 2023 ELECTION: Disregard Otti’s Social Media Victory, Obingwa Rigging Alarm Bell

Disregard Otti’s Social Media Victory, Obingwa Rigging Alarm Bell

We advise the general public to disregard the fake news making the rounds on social media about the botched so-called Obingwa magic votes, the evacuation of INEC staff from danger and the move to Umuahia collation of results.

The said events occurred in the imaginations of the online mobsters that fool hardily declared Dr. Alex Otti the winner of the Abia State 2023 at gubernatorial election online ahead of the INEC, even when the collation of results was yet to commence.

The Cry Wolf approach is their customary gauche line of attack to bully the electoral umpire, blackmail the ruling PDP, and by so doing, garner public attention and sympathy.

One crucial question begging for an answer is: why declare the Labour candidate the governor-elect and permeate social media with congratulatory messages when you were aware that Obingwa and all LGs in Abia north, central, and south were pending?

The coming on air (Channel TV) by the purported winner amid the online celebration to accuse the INEC of conspiring with the Abia State government to subvert the non-existent wish of the people lends credence to their repulsive desperation.

We, therefore, urge Nigerians and the good people of Abia State to ignore the squealers and wait for the collation of results and the official announcement of the winner by the INEC, the only body entrusted with such responsibility.
